FAQ

Carrying a baby in the Croozer

From what age can I put my child in the Baby Sling?

You can carry your child in the Croozer Baby Sling from around four weeks old. There are no hard and fast rules as to how many days or weeks old the child should be. The recommended guideline is to proceed as with a child car seat. If you are happy to put your child in a Maxi Cosi or similar child car seat, you can rest assured that you can also carry it in the Croozer Baby Sling.
We recommend that you take regular breaks to ensure your child is not held too long in the sitting position. You can use the Croozer Baby Sling up to around 10 months old. We recommend the Croozer Baby Supporter as the successor solution for children aged from around 10 to 20 months.

When does my child need a Baby Supporter?

The Baby Supporter is the right accessory for children who are able to sit upright unassisted but still need support. The Baby Supporter gives your child extra stability for her torso and neck.

Is the current Croozer Baby Sling also compatible with older Croozer models?

The current Baby Sling only fits to Croozer models manufactured in or after 2016. It cannot be used with Croozer models from previous years or with trailers from other manufacturers. Please contact us or one of our local retailers if you need a Baby Sling for an older model year.

Is the current Baby Supporter also compatible with older Croozer models?

The current Baby Supporter fits to all Croozer models manufactured in or after 2010. It cannot be used with Croozer models from previous years or with trailers from other manufacturers.

Can the Baby Sling of the Croozer Kid Plus also be used with the Croozer Kid?

For all Croozer models manufactured in or after 2016, there is only one Baby Sling, which fits to both the Croozer Kid Plus and the Croozer Kid. For older models, the Baby Slings are not mutually compatible – if you are at all uncertain about compatibility, please contact us or an authorised Croozer dealer in your area!

Can I fit a Maxi Cosi baby seat to the Croozer?

No, a Maxi Cosi will not actually fit inside the Croozer. We have developed the Croozer Baby Sling specifically to carry your baby. It holds your baby as if it were in a hammock. The padded side walls provide stable support and the 5-point harness makes sure your baby is safely secured.

Croozer safety

Are the fabrics used for the Croozer Kid Plus and Croozer Kid tested for harmful substances?

Yes, all materials used for the Croozer Kid Plus and Croozer Kid are tested for harmful substances. The Toxproof safety mark from TÜV Rheinland confirms: Croozers are completely safe for human health!

All Croozers have been tested for traces of potentially harmful substances as well as possible contaminants. The professional test lab checks for residues of pesticides, heavy metals, dyes, plasticisers, formaldehyde and allergenic substances. All materials have been found to be completely safe for human health: not only the materials that come in direct contact with parents and children, e.g. seats, harnesses and grips, but also dust caps and tyres.

TÜV Rheinland checks our products once a year for compliance with test criteria by means of random sampling. This guarantees that your Croozer is a completely safe product that satisfies all current guidelines.

Does my child have to wear a helmet in the Croozer?

Your child does not have to wear a helmet by law, but can of course wear one in the Croozer. The Croozer seats have been so designed that this will not be a problem and a helmet will not get in the way of your child.

Can I use Croozer Bike Trailers with a Pedelec/e-bike?

Yes, you can use your Croozer with a Pedelec. However, we would request that, in order to ensure the Croozer is correctly hitched up to your Pedelec, you visit your local specialist dealer so that they can attach the hitch to your Pedelec. Pedelecs in particular often have special rear hubs – these should be left to a specialist to look at.
In addition, we would ask that you don’t ride too fast, despite having a Pedelec. Although the Croozer itself can take higher speeds without a problem, your little passengers in the back are very precious. At high speeds it is much more difficult to keep control of the bike and trailer and there is an increased risk of accidents.

Models

How do the 2016 models of the Croozer Kid Plus and Croozer Kid differ from their predecessor models?

All models of the Croozer Kid and Croozer Kid Plus manufactured in or after 2016 are equipped with the Click & Crooz system. With this system, individual components (e.g. hitch connector, stroller wheel and jogger wheel) can be attached with an easy click and removed again with the press of a button. This makes it easy to switch between the three versions (Trailer/Stroller/Jogger)!

We have also improved the Croozer’s seats. Now, buckling and unbuckling the harness system is a breeze, and it is much easier to adjust the straps.

Every Croozer Kid Plus now comes with an integrated sensor-activated lighting system. The same lighting system is also available as an accessory for the Croozer Kid.

The Croozer Kid is being produced in a new, eye-catching colour combination: Meadow Green and Sand Grey. We have also improved the parking-brake mechanism and added even more comfort to the seats – their design now resembles that of the Croozer Kid Plus.

Can I use the current replacement hitch for older Croozer models?

The current Click & Crooz Universal Hitch was specially developed for use with Croozer models manufactured in or after 2016. It cannot be used with Croozer models from previous years.

If you would like to use the new Click & Crooz Hitch with an older Croozer, you can replace the entire hitch arm. For more information, please contact an authorised Croozer dealer in your area – they can help you order the appropriate replacement parts.
